There comes a time when,

You finally realize you have to much stuff, tractor addiction is a tough habit to break especially when you are in denial.
Time to step back, refocus and make a sensible plan. I kinda went everywhere. Different brands, styles. Stayed with the Ns and the Fergusons, luckily. Eventually decided to focus on the EARLY 9Ns. I have a 39 mutt and one of the earliest 40 models I have found. Meaning the other 5 or 6 and all the extra stuff should be found new homes. Wife says she is having a inventory reduction sale, she even found my book with all my others parts, tractors that I thought was safely hid away.
The first step of becoming a recovering tractorholic is admitting you have the addiction.
Haven't made it to step 2 yet, any ideas.
Sometimes, the pain is all we can bear.

An acquaintance of mine loves guitars so much that he could not stop buying any that he saw. The Psychiatrist said he had "Guitar Acquisition Syndrome". He was totally serious!

You my friend have "Tractor Acquisition Syndrome". Common but not fatal!

I'm in the same boat.
Am wanting to unload a bunch of Ford
tractor stuff.
Kind of thinking I'm done with tractors.
Have 3 good Fords and don't need more.
Bought, sold, parted out, rehabbed a bunch
of them over the last 20 years. Only kept
the best stuff. Scrapped the rest.
Want to move on to something else.
Would make someone a heck of a deal if they
came with a trailer.

Me thinks I know your definition of " kept the best stuff" ,I probably have never seen most of it !!

I'm in the same boat. Selling not buying.
Officially at step 2.

I could only imagine the TYPE stuff your selling, somebody could take all the legwork out, plus buy in bulk. Save a lot of spinning in circles.😉

Get rid of the gold colored one in the back of the picture!

Where are you guys located, Rustic and Ultradog?

Very nice. Restoring was never part of my
plan for the most part, other than my early
40 model.It is #10570, a very early
machine, found only 1 other with a lower
number that is known.

Next time you get a chance check the top of
transmission cases on the early 9s, just
behind the shifter cover, might have some
numbers stamped that compare closely to the
engine serial number, what is your opinion
on that. Seems no one knows or can explain,
but some are there. Another mystery driving
me nuts..

I dont any crispie machines, just a few
rustys.

Thanks for showing the herd of tractors in
your arsenal 😀

Here is a 51 Ferguson, I use it to slap the
8Ns around. Showem who daddy is, LOL

Nice collection. The '39 --- going to restore it? As you know it needs 32" hat rims and tires; smooth hubs; brass bulb; electrical for sure; Horiz bar alum grille, and a 4 spoke steering wheel. Can't tell if dash lamp is missing and the shifter ball is wrong.

TPD

The 39 will get there eventually Tim.
I'll probably get started on it next summer.
It runs and drives fine but will need quite a bit to be close to original.
It has a later grill, 12V conversion with alternator, riveted axles, etc.

I get a paying job in the shop now and again so I take most I buy apart for parts... First I put a buy it together price as is on them if it does not sell its took apart. It does not pay to sell used parts if you have to ship them its a loss I as soon keep the parts for walk in's that's where the money is at... Folks will pay well to get it in there hands now : )...

My problem is finding the parts I am working on that I spent the last 4 days moving the parts into a couple tractor trailers... Its took me years to salvage the wood for the shelfs this is wood out of a old double wide : )... The last trailer I did I just brought the 2X4's a friend gave me 10 sheets of used 3/4" plywood it was time to get'er done.

Yes sir. If I only had the space. Eventually the interest will come back to the old fords. Lots of them have been scrapped and lost forever. The prewar stuff is starting to get harder to find, nice to have a well stocked inventory.
