I have an 8N Ford. The thermostat was missing when I purchase the tractor. My ? is should I put one in or will it be ok to leave it out. Could it damage the motor.

It can be hard on the engine because with out it the engine may never get up to temp and that can cause water build up in the oil. Plus an engine that gets up to the correct temp does in fact run better
