Thinking of selling

Ive got a 1955 jd 50 lp and im looking to sell it, its been on my local craigslist before but with no luck. Are there better avenues for me to take to sell this tractor? Im not too sure i want to go the auction route at this point but im open to suggestions.

Location of tractor has a lot to do with value. You can try advertising your 50LP in the free Classified &/or photo ads at top LH corner of the home page on this site.

If your anywhere close to Davenport, Iowa the Mecum auctions at the Mississippi Valley Fair Grounds bring
the best prices. Next one is first week of April 2018. An LP 50 would probably sell pretty good.

Green Magazine or Two Cylinder would be logical choices 319-824 -6060 2 cyl and 402-643-6269 G.M. Mecums will cost 5%/7% plus buyers fee depending on reserve plus entry and unless its rare or very nice better to sell privately.

Photo ads on this site work well if price is fair. There is also classified but photos work best.

The tractor is located in texas, im asking 4000 for it. I think im going to try the classified ads again and see how time goes.

Well that could be the problem my neibor has one for sale for 2500 and he cant sell it either. tractor price are lower than I've ever seen since the 60z. At one time a man offered him 10,000 now he wish he would have taken the offer trying to hold out for more ended up with less.
