Yeah, I don't think that is a good spot for a hitch up that high. Maybe it was intended for use with moving a 5th wheel trailer?

I could have used it with the hook the other day, to lift my septic tank lid.

I used my scrape blade.

With a bar in it, it is no more dangerous than a boom.

I have picked up auto engines, with trannys hooked to them, with my boom.

Dunk, I think what was refered to was hooking onto something on the upper reciever and then pulling. I too think it could be a real widow maker.
