found a thread sealer for the plumbing on the gas tank. seals the threads for 43 different liquids, gases, or compounds.half pint cost $9.62, got it at the local HVAC supply.seals threads on all metals,PVC,CPVC,ABS and nylon plastic pipe.

Is it LEAK LOCK? If so it's good stuff, especially for high pressure joints

Leaklock is the best. I used it for 20 years in the piping industry. Just make sure you wash the threads with a solvent before you apply sealer.

it is called Blue Monster , and it covers 43 things. steam is on the list.

Does it list if it is approved for anhydrous ammonia? The best we can find is teflon tape along with TFE paste.
