three point 3400

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my three point it won"t raise on a 3400 when it gets cold. My threepoint mounted snowblower seems to work down to about 20 degrees, it was below zero all day on the way to twenty something below tonite. Had the same problem last year with Walmart 134 fluid, changed to Kubbot"s best fluid this summer. Do I need to change a filter or go to full synthetic, any ideas welcomed.

Just thinking out loud here.
Are you sure the oil is not milky from water in it? I know you just changed it but...
Stiff, frozen, water emulsified oil will not draw into the pump.
You can try to blow out the filter with compressed air. Drain the hyd oil, use a blow gun with duct tape wrapped around it and blow out the suction line. Leave the drain plug out so you don't blow a seal out somewhere.
Fill the suction line with laquor thinner and blow that through it to clean it.
Filter is a PIA on that model as you have to remove the top cover to get at it down in the bottom. They NEVER get changed.
Lastly as Soundguy said, put a guage on it and see what you're building for pressure.

Have not checked fluid for a few months, will when it warms up. Keep tractor in a pole barn, also when I changed fluid ran some diesel in it for 5 minutes or so.
