I ordered the fuel gauge kit for my 4010 change over from Evergreen, very nice people to deal with. Thanks again for your response and the information. John

Yes and they work out great,, I keep a couple here on hand. I try to buy as much as I can in other places,,our John Deere system here is a Joke,, they are charging $20 a pound for shipping even on parts that they stock,,on top of sky high prices for the parts.

Sounds a lot like our local dealer for Deere Agco and cnh luckily there is an independent guy who has parts for just about any brand of farm equipment you can think of and unlike the other Guys he actually has parts in stock

[tim s]

It takes a little time, but you can find a lot of what you need else where,,I needed an o-ring for a 9400 coupler, Deere wanted $3.50 for one,, I found an O-ring company and got 50 for $6....Deere dealers are parts marketers..and high priced ones too..and the quality of service is Crapp....

[SVcummins]

I agree with that most of the time I try to buy aftermarket parts sometimes John Deere is the same price and I?ll buy it there but I really like the independent guy the best he actually seems to care about his customers the dealers are only out for the guy who can buy brand new equipment it seems like

And I'm still a pariah because I started bringing up these issues a dozen years ago when they started happening here to me. I guess the local chain was just the template that they eventually used nationwide. LOL

This whole "Mega Dealer" thing is not going to go well for us,, and eventually them....

They very well could have the way it looks . I have a good dealer that I work with with I use to have two good dealers but Deere made the good one sell out to the crummy one ! So now i have only one

I have seen it happening to for a long time. I just like my old 3020's and 4020's to much to change to something else. I ran a neighbors IH 656 recently and thought why would anyone buy this when they could have bought a 3020. Tom

I think that's what they're counting on.
