Is there a time limit on responding to a post?
More than once I’ve tried to answer a question and by the time I looked thru my manual then input the response I get a error saying to refresh the page, when I refresh the page all the info I typed in is lost
Today is the second time I’ve just dumped the post rather than trying to retype the complete reply and see if it’ll ask for a refresh again

When you type a reply you must post/save befrore the text is saved on the server. Before you actually post your text is just bits in a biffer that is lost when you refresh the page.

If this tends to be a problem for you then you have a couple of options. One is if you intend to be back within 24 hours, complete and make the post adding statements that say you intend to check xyz and return to add that info. Then later edit your reply adding the information.
Another options is to write your reply out in a MS Word document etc. Then when you have gathered all your information copy out of that document into the forum reply box.
Edit to add: If you aren’t familiar with “word processing” documents such as I mentioned but have access to email you can type it out as an email draft copying it into the forum the same as mentioned above, then delete the draft when finished.

I don’t think there’s a time limit I’ve gone back several days later and a response I had loaded that I was then distracted by real life was still there and irrelevant because someone had it covered by then

I’ve typed out a couple things on the recent Gm closing post and thought the better of even bothering to respond and each time my last thought in regard to it is still there a day later and probably should stay that way

I’ve also noticed if I switch devices a draft will still be there at least phone to computer I guess I haven’t tried vice versa it’s more likely to get done on the PC.

Maybe you have a setting different on your end? I believe the before mentioned save is pc only so maybe phone auto saves and pc manually?
