Timing a 4630 pumps

Can someone tell me the right way to set injector pump timing on a 98 4630 with the later DPS style pump? What degree I need to set flywheel on and so forth. I know the pump has to be set at a shop but can’t find much info on these later pumps on what to set engine degree on to install the pump. Thanks if anyone can help I’ve got a manual but doesn’t cover these pumps

If there's a scribe mark on the pump flange, align it with the center mark on the timing gear case pump bolts to. There's NO flywheel timing needed or used on that pump far as I know. Just MAKE SURE the tapered shaft key aligns in the drive gear groove correctly when installing pump. The later pumps WITH a lock timing bolt MUST be done by the book. I don't think yours has the lock bolt though.

Some emission pumps only used a drive key and scribe line, no flywheel timing needed. The complete DPS 85 number would sure help to know what it is.

Mine is the emissions pump. No shaft key. I’ve done it before but don’t remember the degree I set the flywheel on to install it.

If pump has the lock timing bolt on the drive shaft, pump MUST be locked using a degree wheel in the correct location and engine MUST be in the correct location to install pump. Maybe a call to the New Holland dealer would get engine timing info..
