timing a gator

Everytime someone asks a Gator question, I'm, reminded of this old Johnny Horton classic song:
Battle of New Orleans.

"We fired our cannon 'til the barrel melted down.
So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round.
We filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behind
And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind."

er..stripped his timing gear.
Doesn't Deere have parts and manuals?

Isn't that a Kawsaki?

If you would have a good lawn and garden service handy they would also be familiar with that issue and probably have the parts.

I betya all JD delers carry that part or could get it in one day since i have heard of a lot of gastors "losing their mind" that way.

On second thought here is one Kaw manual I used when trouble shooting he charging system on my Toro Z

I was able to get a new engine for my gator from Green Dealer (Arends Bros LLC) Ashmore, IL (1-800-233-5431). They carry all type parts for JD Utility, Gators and Lawn and Garden. The Parts Man was very helpful and everything he told me was true. Got the engine for about a 3rd what JD wanted. Harley
