timing early 27 D

when timing a early D do you go thru process in book with impulse turned on or off?

If you go by book and have the splitdorf mag you will use the point opening method. For that you need to leave impulse off . If you want you can just time it so impulse trips at tdc. Paul

IIRC those the TDC is not at 3o like all other models. I think the dot on the flywheel is to align with the flat main case top more like 1or 2 o clock.
