timing for a 1194

I have a 1985 David Brown 3 cylinder diesel pulled pump to have rebuilt and forgot to set the timing i'm going to pull the timing cover to set the timing on the engine i need to know what timing mark to set the pump on any help will be appreciated thanks

If it's the CAV DPA rotary pump, just align the pump flange scribe line to the base mount scribe line. The quill shaft will keep it in time with it's wide one way spline
to the pump drive hub, no other timing needed.

I put it in that way and it run bad maybe i have an injector stopped up i changed the fuel and added lucus fuel additive

Maybe something wrong besides the fuel system/timing?


did you adjust the cold start handle?
