You need [u:cdfc03caa0]TDC on the compression stroke[/u:cdfc03caa0] as TDC occurs on the exhaust stroke as well.
(quoted from post at 11:23:47 11/08/23) Pic is of a TEA-20 Factory 12 Volt....
NOTE* Several drilled holes through the FLYWHEEL....
At one point in time,I read, depending on the MODEL of the DISTRIBUTOR makes a difference as to the point of static timing the distributor.
I'm away from my summer residence for several months, thus, I do not have the Maintenance Manual with me..

Thanks, but how can I make sure it’s on the compressions stroke; just spent a few hours trying to get this Tea20 1951 6volts running properly. Got the valves adjusted. But the time is still off. Can’t figure out where the problem isYou need [u:4f16a38885]TDC on the compression stroke[/u:4f16a38885] as TDC occurs on the exhaust stroke as well.
If you adjusted the valves, you should have been at #1-cylinder TDC when both valves were closed, to check and adjust them. #4-cylinders valves should have been on the rock (exhaust closing/intake opening) at that point. Thanks, but how can I make sure it’s on the compressions stroke; just spent a few hours trying to get this Tea20 1951 6volts running properly.
