Videos I took of TimS baling corn stalks with his MFWD 60 and John Deere 224WS wire tie baler and #5 shredder attachment at Half Century of Progress in Rantoul this year. I had the privilege of meeting Tim and seeing his MFWD 60 firsthand. Wow is all I can say. Farmer ingenuity at its best!
Tim gave me permission to post these vids.

That was neat to see. I have never been near a wire tie baler before. I supplied Tim with some of the drive parts he needed for the flail pickup. We have one on a 24t that we used back when we had the dairy cows. Tom

Guys, isnt the stalk moisture fairly high? In our area the stalks need to get shredded and lay out for 3-4 days, like hay, before baling. Too much moisture.

The day after Tim baled the first ones the stack was starting to smell a little fermented. I always shredded mine and then raked them before using the flail pickup. made super nice bedding under the dairy cows. Tom
