Not true at all. The only time it rusts the rims if you don’t keep up with the valve stem maintenance. I have tractors here that have calcium in them for 50 -60
Years and no sign or rust.

Rust red, I find it remarkable how frequently I find myself hitting like for your comments. CACL has never damaged a tractor rim. We are talking about OXIDATION. Oxidation requires and consumes oxygen. Where does it come from? It can come only from the periodic airing up of the tire which requiresm a lot of work and determination to make that rim rust away. Another ignored fact is that for many years tractors have come with radial tires, usually without tubes, but with CaCL installed.

I still won't use it, actually don't need it. Nothing here has a heavy enough draft to require it...........and replacing 2 rims was experience enough for me.
