I need new rear tires for my 8N. What American made brands do you folks recommend? Also, do you know any websites that sell them cheap? Thanks...

I don't think you will find any tires made in America, but Tucker Tire is all over the internet and they are good to deal with. Good prices and good service.

Cheap and American made don't go hand and glove. If you want American I suggest you buy Firestone. Otherwise, Tucker is a good source.

place in clearwater MN sell harvestking tires 12.4x12 for less than 300 a tire. Don't know what shipping would be.

this is the info I found on em....made by Harvest King TBC Corp. Bridgestone/Firestone Kelly, don't really say where they are made.

A couple of years ago, I had a set of Galaxy brand tires put on the rear of my 2N.One of the tires is OK. the other has small chunks falling off of most of the lugs. I thought that they were being ripped off. They are not, They are falling off.

I went out of my way to buy Firstone tires for the front of my 8N- they are good tires but were made in Mexico. I then went out of my way and ordered Harvest King tires for the rear. They were made in China. Good luck finding American made tires. GA Jim

P.S.: I was able to find American Made Goodyear rear tires for my Ford 550 backhoe. I ordered Kelly Springfield tires for the front of the backhoe and they were made in China. Go figure. GA Jim

Thanks all for the info- so far I have found 2 manufacturers that make them in the USA: Firestone and Specialty Tires of America. STA has a line called American Farmer. They are pricy (about $350 each for the rears) but atleast they are made in the good 'ol USA.
Specialty Tires of America

I think the nezt time I restore something Im going to try from Dawson Tire Wholsale www.dawsontireservice.com They have the old style look but not made in the USA. I don't know what it is but if you go to a show the new tires turn brown out in the sun light! Drives me crazy spending all that money and they look like you ran threw the mud before you went to a show. I've found that Firestone does this the worse. Thats a shame cause I like the style of the tires. Miller Tire Company sells a 303 protectant spray that helps alot, but you have to put it on a good bit before it starts to work. Older tires are never a problem with this..
