I just bought an old Case 430 and the tires aren't great. They are pretty much worn down and cracked and torn and basically a ticking time bomb waiting to go. BUT I am going to run with it until one of them goes. I luckily found another set of 14.9-28 tires and rims that came off of a Case 530 and they are in great shape so I can just swap them out when I need to. I am only using the tractor in the nicer months to clear some land and bushhog.
My question though is between duo grip chains and double ring ones. For dirt and field work (I might snow plow eventually) is one better than another? I was thinking that the duo grip would be better on tires with some tread? (like my new ones)
