Tire conversion chart?

I have many old implements with old tires. Some that come to mind are 6.70-15; 11L-15, 12.50L-15 etc. Surely there is a chart that shows "modern" sizes. For example I learned recently (the hard way) that a 12.50L-15 is pretty much the same as a 33X12.50R15. Where can I find a "conversion" chart? Thanks for help.

The implement tire sizes you mention are still used today so in that sense they are "modern" for that style of tire. The nomenclature is the tire's cross sectional width and the rim diameter with the "L" designating a low profile sidewall. You could convert the width to millimeters to make comparisons with passenger car or light truck tires easier but you'd need to measure the overall height or look it up in a tire catalog to know what other tires would be close.

You still do have to multiply by 25.4. The other thing that is beginning to work well is googles AI I’ve done that now too recently and then double check with the tire guy who orders them but it gets you an idea

Just type your size in then metric conversion I did it on a 3010 skinny tires setup as an example

Oh no! Not Google!

They'll find out everything about you and track everything you do! ;)

China tires are measured different. We’ve bought rear tractor tires (bkt etc) same size as a factory tractor tire and it’s smaller. Firestone tires are just bigger and better. Sometimes you have to use different things. Tried to get a 520/85Rx38 yesterday and was told they are on National Backorder. Traff???

Scary isn’t “it”?

“It” is learning too it’s getting better at the responses it can track me as much as it likes if it spits out the answer I need.

My wife doesn’t like it either

I assume you meant "AI"?

I'm on several forums of various interests and this one is the only one where I see posts about not trusting Google because blah, blah, blah, etc.

Hence my feeble attempt at sarcastic humour.

I appreciate it.

On a lot of old tractor stuff you are better off asking here.

On metric tire sizes it’s a common enough question for the rest of the world it’s there.

Standard torque for most fasteners also there

The particular search engine is how I originally found this forum and might be how a significant portion of the user base also did…

Doesn't matter where you go now, everybody has all your information ever since your SS# was allowed for identification everywhere. Originally it was only for SS. , we all know how well that worked out. 👨‍🌾
