tire pressure

What tire pressure works best using firestone 12.4 x 38 4 ply. Most of the time 3500-4000# classes. I had 10 lbs in tires yesterdays morning when i checked, pressure could have went up due to heat later in the day. Drawbar length and height are where rules allow, but tires did not hoop up especially in 3500 # class. I thought these new soft tires would do better than they have so far.

new soft tire is the problem, old hard works best, most of the time

I would start with 6 or 7. Old hard,hardly any tread.

Had to play with my 18-4-38 Armstrong's yesterday. Started out at 12 and backed them down to 10. They started to work then but I think I will go lower yet. You just have to play with the pressure till they work for you.

I run the same tire 3/4 bar maybe 20 years old . I run 12 - 13 lbs lower than 12 they squat bad .

Another thing is not all guages are the same. So always use the same one.
