Tire repair

Is there a way to repair a crack or cut in your back tires on the tread? Is there a kit available? As always thanks for the info!

Is it a superficial cut, or one all the way thru the casing?
I've seen all kinds of enterprising farm repairs... everything from 'lacing' a tire together using bailing wire after drilling out holes int he tire for the 'stitches.

I've seen a tire missing a section , and a piece of another tire was literally BOLTED on held in place with 1/4" well-worn hardware..

I've seen a small piece of flat also bolted perpendicular to a cut.. presumably with a similar piece inside the tire as well.. with the bolt head, probably round carriage insite, and the nut outside and ground down..

slip a boot or large farm patch over those things and run em'.. I've got a hole in my 7610s tire big enough to put your thumb thru.. I put the biggest farm patch ont he inside I could fit in there and a new tube.. been going 2 seasons like that... tires are beginning to bald, and when they blow off the rim I'll replace them..

you can take the tire to a professional tire repair and they will vucanize the crack so that the only thing you see is new looking rubber in the repair area. I have done this where there is a new tire involved, used boot patches on old tires..
