Tire trouble

So I gave myself a good bday present today. While bushhogging I assume the snap ring on the sway bar broke and allowed the swaybar to swing away from the underside of the tractor. Some how it jammed n2 the ground without me realizing it bending it at a 90 degree angle and jamming it into my left side rear tire. I just know that one min I was riding on rubber and the next rim. I sure can"t afford new rubber right now. Sheesh.

Get one of those full tire boots and a heavy duty tube.

That's what I did on my old IH backhoe rear tire when a fresh cut small stump went through it about five years ago. It looks like it going to pop anytime but it's been looking that way since the day I aired it back up.

How big it the hole??? I have patched/booted some good size holes and they make boots up to around 12X12 inches. You just clean up the inside of the tire real well apply tire glue let dry for a bit and then put the boot on. And then if you want it to be a tad bit better take that old tube and cut it open and lay it in the tire first then put a new tube in and go for it. Shoot I have seen tires patched with nuts and bolts and seen some that a guy sewed up a hole etc etc etc. Got a MH44 here that has a bolt on tire patch

Y'all ever seen what a tractor trailer tire looks like when they blow out going down the freeway and kinda flop all over the place and tear apart. That's what this one looks like. I wouldn't b surprised if it was the original factory tire. It looks like swiss cheese. I don't think a patch is gonna cut the mustard.

Well since I am working on my 2nd million miles driving yep seen many tires like that and had a few at speeds of over 70 not fun. So what size was it and where are you never know some one close may have a good used one that you could get to get by for a while

Ahhh I think it's stock for an 8n will have to look at the other one. I'm in Jay Florida. Really hoping I can get lucky at the junk sale next weekend in Brewton Alabama.

Ok the tire that's still in one piece has 12.4-28 and below that it has "ON RIM" 11-28

Also I'm in Jay Florida which is up in the panhandle north of Pensacola.

Do some looking around and or post an ad in maybe Craig's list or the paper or if you have a radio talk show that you can post an ad. Used tires in that size should not be all that hard to find

Planning on going to the local "junk" sale this weekend if I'm not working to hunt for tire/tires. What all sizes will fit the 8n rims other then the 12.4 And not rub the fenders?

You can go with the 11.2X28 or the 12.4X28 or the 13.6X28 but like on a car or truck you should try to have the same size on both sides so as to help not over work the diff. and also to help keep you from driving in circles LOL
