Tire update.

I checked Miller tire and they showed out of stock. Could get one from Amazon for around $250. I took rrlund's advice and called Discount tire. They had one in stock. Tire, tube and mounted $260. So I am sitting in their lobby, drinking their coffee and eating free popcorn while someone else does the dirty work of mounting it. Thanks for all the leads.

Good deal. They're pretty hard to beat. You had me curious so I checked Amazon. Way more than I paid at Discount cash and carry a few years ago. I'm all done buying 50 year old used tractor tires. Anybody who has one wants a fortune for it because they think new ones are high as a cat's back. I needed a pair of 11.2 38s a few years ago. A guy in our club who's always known for having a bunch for sale, wanted $500 for a pair that was only about 50%. I went to Discount and bought a brand new pair for $750. He wasn't smiling when I told him what I paid for the new ones. Kinda sobered him up.

I will add that around me these used tires are being sold in Liew of paying to dispose of them! Meaning they are not worth time to mount.

I've paid good money for used tractor tires that split out as soon as I put air in them. I paid $200 for a pair of 11.2 24s and one did that. I won't waste my money on them anymore.

Yes sir that's like all those used car tires for sale on marketplace. Weather cracked, 2 thousands of tread and so on. Add $35 to mount then (if you don't do it your self) Not saying there aren't some good used ones out there but i find it to be rare.

Not to mention how hard that old rubber is to bend!
