Tire Weight Difference

I was wondering if anyone knew the difference in weight between 15.5x38 Firestone Field and Road 6 plys and 18.4x38 Field and Road 8 plys... they are both going to be mounted on the same style rim so I can rule that out... just wondering how much weight I am going to gain/loose with the swap...

I had a set of 15.5's, 6 ply that weighed about 105# each, after cutting, about 3/4" bar. I also weighed a 18.4X38 6 ply, uncut, about 5/8" bar, about 195#. Both were Field & Road, NOT All-Traction Field & Road. Mike

According to my Firestone Data Book, the 15.5x38 6 ply weighs 191 lbs. and the 18.4x38 8 ply weighs 236 lbs. Both are Traction Field and Road weights. Looks like a gain of 90 lbs. before any shaving. FWIW the 18.4 6 and 8 plys weigh the same.
