Pretty new here. Looking at a 8n it need 2 rear tires I have no idea what the cost would be. Can someone help? would need about cost on the whole thing tires ,tubes, mounting. Is it wort the money. The guy want 1600.00 other than tires it seems pretty nice. I,m in central Wisc.

Needs tires as in what it has do not hold air or is it that they just have a lot of weather checking etc. If the tires are so bad they do not hold air then $1600 is top dollar for it if not to high. New tires and all can cost just about that much. Tubes are around $40-50 each and then the tire can be in the $400-600 range and then labor to mount them can be over $100

(quoted from post at 03:13:37 06/04/15) cheezie........check out "Tucker Tires"; 11.2x28 ag-bar tires about $150 ea. ........HTH, the tired Dell

I just got two 11.2 x 28 mounted on rims from tucker, 1000 dollars delivered to Oregon.

I agree with Tucker, they might be foreign, but I got the rims, tubes, and tires delivered mounted to my door for less than the local guys wanted for just the tires. Where you located? we might be neighbors.

Tired Dell...I just called Tucker Tire located in Tenn. and was told the cheapest 11.2x28 they sold was $246 each. They are several Tucker Tires listed on the web which one are you getting that price from?..Dan

I can only tell you my opinion. I got my '41 9n in good shape with new tires for $2000.00 about 15 years
ago, when prices were actually higher than now[here]. I'd try to offer him $1000.00,explaining that the
tires will cost enough to make the tractor a good deal.

Dan.......its been MANY YEARS since I priced tires at Tuckers. Still a better price than most locals. My eazy starting 1952 8N wears 14.7x24's on 13-rims. Its like haffin' DUALIES (grin) .......Dell

I bought two like new Armstrong 11.2x28s on good 6 lug rims with Massey centers for 400 off craigslist. They were old but in great shape.

Thanks guys. Going to make a offer and go from there. Maybe not such a good deal after looking around in my area anyway.

The tire market has jumped in prices since ten years ago. Cheapest I found at Miller Tire was $290 for a 11.2 x 28 tire. They used to offer Firestone Field & Road model but did not see it in that size -call if interested. Also, I have purchased many farm tractor tires from Miller and found it was cheaper to get them shipped directly to my local Firestone AG Tire Center than shipping directly to my house. Why? Has to do with a business vs. a rural home. Anyway, there are some in the ADS forum here, used, but a lot cheaper.

I just checked with my old supplier--if I was still in the tire business BKT 8 ply 11.2X24would cost you $257.00 each put on the tractor at the shop

I bought new 11.2 x 28's this year for $210 each locally.
I think the tubes were $40 or $45 each. $26 to mount them.
Tires are Forerunner brand, I have no idea how well they'll
hold up. I put them on a tractor that won't do much work so
for me I think they'll be fine. Your mileage may vary.
