If they have a plastic rubbing block, they are not the premium set.(quoted from post at 16:51:38 12/20/13) Here's what the guy said at YT. Tisco re-packages the bluestreak point set in their set. How can you tell the difference?
(quoted from post at 22:53:04 12/20/13) Just received my point set bought from the store here. The brand is Tisco. What I thought I ordered was a blue streak set. Are they the same? Sort of recall that Tisco points set are the cheaper set but the set cost $$
(quoted from post at 16:01:59 12/20/13) Bluestreak has long been a Std. Ign. trademark, at least since the mid 1960s, and probably since registration.

Happy (belated) Birthday Bob!(quoted from post at 00:42:30 12/21/13) Welding, you wrote: "Funny how things change. Years ago there was one little independent auto parts store in our town, but he carried 2 or 3 of the leading brands of most things. Blue Streak being one of them. None of the old time mechanics would buy them, said they were junk. They bought Motorcraft or AC or anything but Blue Streak. Now they are the best? Seems to me we don't have much to pick from any more."
That's an INTERESTING perspective... I just turned 56 today, cut my teeth on this stuff, and never had a complaint/problem with Standard/Blue Streak points.
A local auto parts store has sold them for a LONG time, and I've never heard of anyone else complaining, either. My son works there and I just asked him, and he said they still sell quite a few, and he can't remember any complaints, either. (He's worked there on and off, for 10 years.
Update; The points just didn't work. Rubbing block couldn't make contact with the cam so they are being returned. The part guy said I bought the point set for an early 2n and since I have a later model '46 I needed the other set... So in any case they are being returned. I have what I hope to be the premium BS point set on order. In the meantime I kludged together a set which needed some dremel work in order to fit and gap properly. Also managed to set timing (which was the topic of another thread I started on distributor parts) without it being all the way advanced. Installed it and it..... no spark. I dis-installed and checked everything and all checked out so had to be something else. Ran thru all the wiring, fuel. all good. Did a check of the OEM ballast resister and secondary resister and those checked out too. Although I am a novice at using the MM and I still can't get good readings, after much thought javascript:emoticon(':x') I swapped out the OEM resister (because I had an extra) and it started right up. A few adjustments on the idle and main jets and its running real good. Ran for over an hour, took it for a spin and no issues. The power was slightly off so may need some additional adjustments. I'll check again tonight but all i n all I'm real happy.(reply to post at 17:51:38 12/20/13)
