Titan hay tedder

I am considering buying an HT 19 Titan hay tedder. I think the seller said it was modeled after a Sitrex model. Anyone have any insight on the Titan brand. It is out of production, and the company is now Ironcraft. It's 90 miles from me, so I wanted some insight from anyone who has used or owned one, before I go for it. Thanks, Mark.

No, but yes on sitrex. How much and how heavy are you going to use it? Home owner hobby farm ok Heavy commercial probably not. Generally parts for this stuff is expensive. Some of this stuff is made in Italy buy some company and rebranded under a dozen different names. Last look for parts support or availability.

Guy I bought my Enorossi rake from last fall carries some Titan stuff, might want to check with him about parts availability.

FWIW, bought a Ranch Rite tedder from him maybe 10 years ago, been fine. But I only put up maybe 120 acres total for a year, and I don't always tedd hay, only when needed. So cheap brands can do the job.

The link is to an Enorossi tedder he has, it'll get you his number.

Fed, I talked to your guy-he said for me to run away! So, I will! He said some early Titan tedders were ok, but later ones were not, and he may have some parts if needed. I thank you for the help. Mark.

Mark to bad it didn't work out. I know there was some cheap (2 spinner baskets) in the past that did not hold up well except for light use. Don't be afraid to look at Kuhn, Vermeer, Krone.

I wonder what he would say about the Ranch Rite tedder I bought...checked my records, bought it new in 2016 for $3800. I remember I couldn't touch a name brand for anywhere close to that.

So just to depress myself, did some digging. Doesn't look like Ranch Rite is a business these days.
So I'll just keep greasing the snot out of it, don't let it go banging into the dirt, and run it till it drops.
Be good

Well, I'm wanting to replace my 'Hay Master' brand hay tedder, which I doubt, that it is made anymore either. Your dealer sounded like a straight shooter to me, so I'm sure he would tell you what he thought. The only thing I had problems with was the roll pins that hold the upright axles into the 'spider' heads broke. I think a lot of tedders are made this way. I drilled them to take 3/8 grade 8 bolts.
I found a Frontier tedder, hydraulic tilt and fold, and am considering it. Mark.

Far as I know frontier is a sub brand of John Deere but not made by them. I probably would have no issue with one, barring aside you are doing thousands of acers.
