to 20 oil preasure

i just bought a 51 TO20 the oil preasue is about 30-40 psi when i start but it drops to about 20 when it is warmed up it stays steady but stays at 20 could this be a bad pump i know the oil is going to thin out when it gets hot but i feal like this is too mutch. what all is involved with the oil pump is it easy enough that i should just replace it or no.

You do not have an issue. 20 psi oil pressure is good and normal.

The book says yer' good to go if the oil pressure is > 15 psi at 400 rpm idle with the engine at operating temperature. Your doing fine at 20 psiif you have that at idle with a warm engine.
