TO 35 pan

Hey guys, I am starting to do an "in frame" overhaul on my TO 35. I am wondering if the oil pan will drop straight down after all the bolts are out. It is iron and appears to be an integral part of the chassis. Does the tractor need to be jacked up slightly at either end to relieve any bind, or jack stands placed underneath? Any estimates on how much the pan weighs? Thanks as always, Ron

I should have added, it is a Z134 gas burner.

Yes it will. I had mine off about 6 months ago.

It looks heavy. Can I handle it by hand or do I need to lower it down with a jack?

I used a jack. Made it a heck of a lot easier to get the bolts started. If you're superman, you may be able to hold it with one hand and start the bolts with the other. I'm not though.

I pulled mine off last year for an oil pump kit. I loosened my front end bolts just a little thinking it wouldn't come out otherwise, but maybe it would have as others have suggested. It did go back together nice that way. I tightened all the bolts up just snug so the pan would in the correct position and the tightened them the rest of the way.
