TO-35 Voltage Regulator

Hello everyone, hope you are having a better week than me! I burnt up my voltage regulator and some of the smaller wires going to the amp meter and key switch. I think the battery may have shifted and shorted out. I have replaced the regulator and replaced all the wiring. Can some please upload a picture of the regulator on a TO-35 (gas) so I can double check that I have the wires on the regulator hooked up to the correct terminals? I am pretty sure I have it all correct, but since two of the wires were burnt in half, I just want to confirm before I connect the battery and try it.

Also, would this work necessitate polarizing my generator, or should it be fine?

I think I have figured out the answer to the second question, yes, I need to polarize the generator....
