To much Hyfraulic?

If i put to much hydraulic in my 856 will it not let the T/A go from Hi down to Low? I was mowing hay with the T/A in low when i got finish i push it into Hi to go the barn when i got to the barn i try to pull it back to low put it would not go, i was wondering if to much hydraulic would cause this or did my T/A go out?
