TO20 Radiator neck

Hello, everyone I had to take my Fergusons TO-20s radiator neck of to clean it and install a temperature gauge later on? But, my question is for the gasket that is in between the cast iron neck and the block what can I use as a gasket for a new one? I think I can use regular gasket material correct for like carburetors I have a brand new role of it? Any help is appreciated?

I make a lot of my own gaskets, personally I use "Indian head shellac" for the sealer.
Back in the "yellow death" days we used KROGER grocery bags for the gaset material.
