To30 steering issue

Hello.
My 53 to30 seems to have a steering issue suddenly.
Only the right wheel turns when steering wheel turned.
Left side does nothing.
Attached pic this arm doesnt move at all.
Any thoughts?

I would say the gear is stripped out the bolt came loose. I have a 51 to-30 and just took that steering gear box apart.

The bolt i am referring to is on piece 27. Is there any in and out play on that steering arm? if there is no movement it just might be the splines on the steering gear sector. I just started on my tractor so not highly knowable on this tractor yet. Just from what I have seen working on mine.

Yes, I have. You will need to make a tool to support the case when you remove/install the center bushing. The procedure is in the factory manual.

Ya theres def slop in steering.
Those arms move in and out both sides and the steerring wheel moves in and out a bit.
Justseems the manual pretty vague andnot theclearest pics on taking it apart and fixing

Did u make the tool for the center bushing? If so, how did u do it. Also, how hard is it to change the outer bushings? I have the service manual and it
has the special tool and hyd presses but I don?t have all that stuff. Just a hammer and a 20ton stand up press. Mine are worn slightly, not much but I
would like to change them while it?s tore apart.

I don't remember the exact procedure I used, but after I made sure I had the right parts, I used an air chisel to cut out the old bushings. I used thick wall tubing between the case and the center bushing boss to support the boss and not break it. Then I put box in the press and pressed the bushings in.

Found my problem..broken sector.
Nice they made it so easy to take steering stuff apart...so much to remove

Hope this helps. You can buy most parts off EBay but I purchased the bushings and bearings for the housing assembly from Yesterday?s Tractor. If
you need anything else I?ll do what I can to help.

Its definitely cracked through.
I found a used set on ebay..luckily affordable

I found a whole set sctors, arms and steering shaft

Look on Ebay for your particular tractor. I searched for mine and got a set that included service, part and operation manuals. It was around 50 dollars for the set.
