To35 universal tractor fluid

I have a 1955 TO-35. What transmission/hydraulic fluid is recommended? Can it use M2C-134D Ford spec oil? It is cold northern climate here and my hydraulics are very sluggish in teens temps I have now.

I don't know what the Ford oil is, and universal tractor fluid is not right either, but the original factory oil was 90w mineral oil (NOT 90w gear oil!) The mineral oil is still available, NAPA and others have it.

An alternative is 15w40 engine oil, or for cold weather drop to 10w30.

Motor oil works well. I have it in my TO30?s and my 35. Mineral oil attracts water which freezes and also thickens mineral oil causing the hydraulics to run very slow or not run till it defrosts.
