I work for an electronic supply outfit that frequently sells stuff to all of these guys. They are working on their antique amps and things, still wearing the same clothes they wore 50 years ago. Come to think of it, I have some of those clothes too..........

The Retirement Village People have a new song for us baby boomers: " A - A - R - P ".

Watched a show on PBS, Austin City Limits maybe, and the headliner was Iggy Pop. I'd never seen or heard the guy before, and only vaguely recalled his name. He limped around wearing a denim vest, open in front to show his wrinkled belly. He looked and sounded as though the show's producer had gone to a homeless shelter, grabbed the first derelict they saw, sobered him up and threw him on stage. I remembered why I had bypassed an entire generation of "music", but the crowd was acting as though this was the most awesome display of musical genius they had ever seen. (Unfortunately, maybe it was.)

Iggy Pop, yes he is a real class act! (not!)

Can not imaging what the attraction is... But somehow he makes more in one day than I do in a lifetime.
How?

The band I play in was formed 14 years ago this coming July 1st, the original three members were already retired and the band has always been called "Grateful We're Not Dead". We play at an awfull lot of seniors residences :D
