Like clock work! The funny man never takes a day off. Look forward to this every morning. Thank you Jon. Looked like you had a good Christmas at the new castle

The business that I was in for 40 years was all about preventive maintenance. No technician wants to go out on an evening emergency call. We tracked all of these calls and found that 60 % were preventable with our knowledge of the equipment. It was very unsettling when it came up where a tech had left a customer with a condition that was highly likely to generate an emergency call, And especially unsettling the one would try to make it acceptable by saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it" So our mantra became "If it ain't broke, it will break on Friday night".

my grandmother was born in 1900. her father worked for the railroad shops, and they also had a farm with hired labor. she told me a comment that the hired man had made to her when she was a young girl- "farming's all right, but there's always something broke".
so nothing has changed in 100 years.

I have made a respectable living over my 64 years with this corporate philosophy .My wife only mildly complained when the phone rang @ 1130pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.. Just saying. CM

Day off? Heaven forbid! As much fuss as I got for being a few minutes late, on Christmas, I would hate to see what would happen if I missed a day. Lol

We always joked that you might as well take Sunday off, because inevitably something would break. Maybe God gives us reminders from time to time!

Both my boys were in high school robotics, went to many a championship competition, won many of them. Their motto was "If it ain't broke, take it apart and fix it!!"
