When I go to see them it is usually because I have to give them a ride in to town for there shopping. Most older elders I know need rides in to town for these tings, doctors appointment, grocery shopping, and other things. they call leave a message an I show up. there kids have lives to live in big town and are married with families. I will not bring donuts just a big pick up truck and give them a ride.

That would usually be funny. . . .

But my Cousin (my Mother's age, approx. 80) along with his wife were found dead in their house about two months ago. No foul play, but it was several days before any of their neighbors noticed anything wrong. The live about an hour away and we hadn't heard from them since Christmas. They think he died of a heart attack and she was blind and couldn't hear well. No one knows why she didn't let someone know unless she just couldn't. No children and no brothers or sisters, so no close family.

Check on your neighbors! Especially with the nnalert panic going on.
