I'm retired so I can set my own clock now but I remember hating getting home from work after dark. I still had animals to feed and other outside stuff to do but had to do it all under lights.

My favorite trick is to set the clocks either forward or back >>>ON FRIDAY night of the appropriate week end just after supper / evening meal.
The first time my wife saw me do this she had conniptions >>. NOW she often beets me to it.
Will from Ontario Canada. Eastern Time [daylight or standard here]

By next Wednesday the time change will already be forgotten. Most people are as happy or as miserable as they choose to be.

I'm at the point where I wish they would just pick one or the other and stay with it-don't keep changing it every few months.

The whole concept behind DST never made any logical sense. If they had passed a law stating that, instead of working from 8-5, you must now go in at 7 and only work till 4, there would be rioting in the streets!
So instead, they said, "Go in at 7 anyway, and just reset the clock to 8! Now everyone says, "Oh, what a wonderful idea!!" Go figure!!
