Not the JD sickle head attachment you were looking for but a NH Super 717 with a NH sickle head. Check RG Mason Auction Summer Consignment Sale Proxibid. Both Chopper and head looked fairly good from the pictures. The chopper is being sold with a NH 790W pickup head as well.

Interesting you mention that as I spent this afternoon mounting my 6ft head on the 35 chopper. Will post some pics sometime. Tom

So you are all set on a JD direct cut head then? I know you are not a big NH man but these heads regardless of brand are very rare these days. I remember many years ago a couple of IH direct cut heads at auctions but since I had no need nor any money I let somebody else buy them. For the price paid I don't think that either went for scrap.
