This was in a box of stuff i bought at an auction. Maybe it's for cleaning a grill rack?

They're often called a dandelion fork--it's for getting out the long taproot of dandelions or similar weeds. Google dandelion fork for lots of similar ones.
 
That tool is used to remove plastic push fasteners used on cars, trucks etc and door trim.

They come in many lengths, bends and sizes.
 
Mine still has "Dandelion root puller" on the label....... Does a great job of removing the top and leaving the root to grow again............. Larry

Yea, the one we had as kids sent out to weed duty, the V was shapened like a knife to purposely cut the root.
 
This seems more reasonable than a weed puller. I should have included a tape measure in the photo. Seems too short for a weed puller.
