Toolcat for farm use

I was considering the possibility of getting a Toolcat for use here
on the farm. I do have an older 610 Bobcat and tractors with
loaders all older machines. I am wondering how well they would
handle 1000 pound round hay bales? Logs/ firewood occasional
rocks etc? thanks in advance.

That's the 5600 isn't it? Guy my uncle works for has one. Slick machine. When handling round bales I find it works better to run rear-steer only. They are about all it wants, though. Plenty of hydraulic for it, just marginal on being enough machine. When you run front or four-wheel steer, the tail end tends to swing around as the front wheels turn. Of course there is the option of putting some weight in the back, too. I find the cabin a little cramped but nothing I can't deal with.
