Top link ID

I got this top link with a JD implement I bought on an auction. The blue paint suggests a Ford product if it's not aftermarket. It is stamped Made in England on both ends. Can anyone tell me what vintage and what model it may be associated with?

I had one like that with my 1973 Ford 7000 row crop. It wore out long ago!
The size of the ends would determine the tractors it could have shipped with.
Cat 1 ends would have shipped with 2000 or 3000.
Cat 2 ends would have shipped with 5000 or 7000.
A 4000 can have cat 1 or 2 ends. I would guess it to have a cat 2 top link.
A 8000 or 9000 would have cat 3 ends I would guess.

I can't tell from the pic what size the one you have is.
The length of the top link is different also; a 4000 would have had a longer top link than a 2000/3000.

Same design as my cat 2 top link with my Ford 5000.

Yours looks like a cat 1 size so probably the smaller tractors the others mentioned.

Thank you all for this very helpful information. The top link has Cat 2 on the tractor end and Cat 1 on the implement end and is about 25 inches pin-to-pin when fully retracted, so it probably went with a 4000.
