top link pin w/ support chains

I just bought a set of implement support chains w/turnbuckles from YT for my 9N and to use w/a bush hog. The 3 PT. top link fits between two ears on the cast bracket on the upper final drive housing. The upper eyes of the turnbuckles must go outboard of the bracket ears and on the toplink pin. My question is, is there a specific type of pin design that works best with this situation? A typical 3/4 dia.x 4 inch hitch pin would rely on the hitch pin clip alone to keep one of the turnbuckle eyes from walking off the end of the pin. Seems a little iffy to me. What does the 9N brain trust suggest.
Thanks,

tooner.......surprizingly enuff, the HEAD of yer longer toplink pin (4"?) is enlarged and will hold the slotted chain tab but NOT let it come off. Obviously, the linch pin stops the tab on the other side. ......Dell

I also have chains to hold my implements.I didn't buy a kit, since I had the chains& various and sundry clevices, pcs.of iron bar and flat steel.I drilled holes in the bar at the bottom of the implements for clevices and made brackets similar to the top brackets, but to fit over the pins outside the lower arms.At the top I fashioned a bracket from 1"x1/4" stock to fit outside of the upper link pin and bent it to narrow to the width of 2 chain hooks that swing, ready for chains. works very well and is very versitile.---lha
