Torque settings for john deere

Studs go in with the flat end on stud into the block.. Coat threads with No-2 permatex... No torque on them , just screw in until threads are all the way in.. Torque on the head nuts are 104 foot pounds.. Go 50 ft pds first , finish to 104... Circle pattern to torque.. Lead washers under the nuts... Run tractor to get up to temp.. Then check to see if you are still at 104 foot pounds.. ChecK by just pulling down nuts to the 104 foot pounds again.. Also I use KD copper coat spray on the head gasket.. Spray both sides of the head gasket... Always seals great.....
