I inherited a 1948 ford 8N tractor from my father, I got it running and changed the fluids but the touch control lever is siezed. What can I do to free it up? The draft control lever moves up and down ok, any suggestions please .
 
If the control lever has no movement at all I believe the shaft is frozen in the quadrant. Here is the parts breakdown. If there is some movement in the shaft take the inspection cover off the right side and see if you can move the lever assembly on the other end that works the intake valve on the pump.

Remove 4 bolts from plate #11 and see if lever will rotate. If so, then it is rust between shaft and the #11 assembly.
