Tractor cab on 8N?

I know this thread is years old but this is a tractor my dad bought years ago that he is redoing. We are unsure if it is homemade or not. It is a 47. I would love to know the history of this tractor.

I think this one was for a Ford 2000/3000.
I made it fit my 2N to plow snow. It has a roof.
Bought it off CraigsList for $40.
Not really that warm on an N, but it sure helps block the wind!
The canvas one on my Jubilee is much warmer w/o a roof.
That one was $40 on CL too.

Oh, and they did make cabs for them. This one belongs to forum
member Old-9. This was taken at the show in Winamac, IN.

Royse , Thanks for posting my 39 -N . I can tell you the cab makes it harder to get in and out of. This one is all steel and noisy . It will come off in a short time with a hoist to pull straight up. Been thinking of selling it as harder and harder to get in as I get older. Joe

I've been think 'in, sure would be nice to have a cab on my 1947 8N. I saw a few on other posts, and wondering how hard it would be to close up around the engine and drop a cab over the seat. Keeping warm while plowing snow would increase the pleasure of seat time considerably!

Anyone out there with cabs on their 8N's? Purchased, home made, canvas, OSB, fiberglass, or ???
