8n and 2n are up for the winter with no battery and fuel, and are in another barn.. so i didn't mess with them. Also not pictured are my orange, green and 'red' tractors that are also in another barn.

Do your own body work? Have had a heck of atime on my grill. Its so close but can't get the sway out of the one side.('62) Seems like the left side is always crunched up on them.Maybe it will bolt down and take it out, Idon,t know. Some say i try to be to perfect. Just can't help it.

the trick to keeping them running is to litterally keep them running. don't let them set for weeks or months between starts. IE.. try to use a different one every week for something.. even if it is just running a few blocks down to check the mail at the cluster mail box at the entrance to the community.. etc.

soundguy, can you tell me a little about that building? What brand is it, size and an estimate on price?

Looks exactly like a building I would like to put up for machinery/hay.

Nice looking 5000. It looks like mine, especially with the PAVT (spin out) rear wheels. What year is it? By the way, I'm not trying to be a wise-guy but your front weights are upside-down. I've got some of these pancake weights on my 4400 and love the look on a pre '75 tractor. Seriously though, nice looking fleet.

it's a late 75, has the common sump like a 5600.. so a very late 75.

At 80# a pop on those pillow wieghts.. they aren't coming off any time soon!

A place out of N.Georgia built it for me.. interestingly enough they are called something like south carolina buildings or something similar. it's about 31w x 52l Cost was just a hair under 8k$.

The 'crew' pulled up in a 1 ton truck with a long trailer.. had 4 guys in the cab.. the drive spoke some english. they had driven down to do 3 jobs.. 2 20x24 carports, and my building.. one of the carports had already been done, so just the small one and my building materials were on their truck. they had an air compressor and genny in the bed of the truck, and large ext cord and air hose reels.. though if you provided your own power, you saved an additional 100$ genny usage charge... ( I provided my own power.. etc ).. them guys pulled in about 8am.. unloaded the truck and were cleaning up the work area and pulling out by 2pm. I had already leveled the site with my box blade, and measured it out and staked and painted where I wanted the building. There are 17 hurricane anchors on each side. I got a roof extension to make it taller for my larger machines, and I also bought an extra bracing kit for added strength. Has hurricane wind rating that meets florida 2009 specs.. whatever they were. Base building didn't come with tin on the sides, so i got that as optional ( included in the price I told you ).

all the metal to metal seams were caulked and all the self tapper sheet metal screws have the metal washer with rubber gasket on them.

i'm super happy with the deal.. best part was they took credit card!

I DO try to move them at least now and then. To facilitate this, I have assigned specific tasks to each machine, thus when that task comes up, that machine gets used. There are some, as I mentioned that are literally 'down and stored'.. bats are out and fuel drained.

I do agree with stevel about your front weights... They are upside down.
I have the same on mine, got five of them, the front one has a hitch pin in it to push or pull a trailer around. I think only in europe tractors have a front hitch.

hard for me to have a 5000 older than yours as mine is one of the last made.. no reason fenders couldn't be swapped though.

why is it everyone is so concerned about the darn weights being upside down on my tractor.
