Tractor info needed - What is it?

Hello,

I recently purchased a tractor and have know idea what kind it is. All the markings on the tractor seem to be in Chinees so I cannot get any numbers or anything off the tractor. I took a few pictures which I have attached to this post. I do know that it has a "Shang hi" 4cyl diesel engine it it. Please take a look and see if you can find out what it is?

Shanghai Tractor is part of Shanghai Automotive and is one of the older manufacturers of tractors in China. They entered a partnership with CNH in 2002 to manufacture agricultural equipment.

It appears to be a Chinese made Tractor badged as a Ford.Maybe?

Looks like a copy of the UTB Fiats. How does it run and operate?

looks like a nice stout built tractor. looking at the pictures, the motor is really clean, injector pump looks like its been spit polished. has this had a recent major on the motor? everything looks real up front and easy to work on.

Runs well, everything works in original format to my knowledge. Having a problem with the
sylenoid,can not locate a replacement for this.
Also looking for books with info on this type of tractor and or parts that would work as replacements.

No, I purchased tractor as is but did clean it when i got it home. Overall the tractor runs well.
I am looking for replacement parts. And a handbook but first need to really know what type of tractor this really is.

From here, go to the same place as you do for anything obscure- Google! I got 525,000 hits for Shanghai Tractor, so there should be something in there that will get you on the right track. Or at least keep you off the streets and out of trouble for awhile ;>)
