Tractor Insurance

I know this topic has come up before, but I am looking for insurance companies that will insure antique tractors mainly used in rides and parades. We currently have State Farm which insures all that stuff, but my son in law just took a job with All state and they don't insure that kind of thing. The wife is wanting to switch because the price is cheaper, but I keep reminding her we are loosing some coverage (the tractors) that we will have to pay for separately which could make our monthly premiums roughly the same. So who do you guys use?

All my insurance is through Indiana Farmers, including my 1950 farmall, 1953 Jubilee and 2019 Kubota.

Cheap insurance. No idea how good it is. I've never used it..

Some are added to my homeowners policy.

Farm Bureau is the only one I could find other than Hastings which I had at one time. They cover tractors, equipment, livestock, and everything else on my small farm in Mid Mi. I don't care for the high premiums but it is what it is if you want coverage.

We have everything with Farm Bureau in Indiana. Make sure your agent does indeed cover you for that use. A few years ago, I asked about driving a tractor to a show, doing the tractor drive, and driving home, over 4 days. Agent said Farm Bureau would not cover it if it was not in actual crop production. I told him I had Haggerty on a Fairlane I had, and he said he is also an agent for them. He checked and got me covered for a small amount.

From experience with State farm I would stay there. You may get what you pay for. Sometimes the cost of cheap insurance is like the oats story. Those already through the horse come a bit cheaper.

I have my play truck with Hagerty Insurance, they are a specialty company, they also insure like show tractors with an agreed value if stolen or wrecked. I was going to also insure my 39 cab tractor but changed my mind. I still might. joe

My sister in law works for Shelter Insurance,my brothers hot rods cars are insured with State Farm. Go with the money, not family.

As others have said - Hagerty will insure classics for an agreed upon amount. No idea how easy they are to work with if something happens - on the front end they (and my agent) have been easy to deal with.

You can check Ambetter. Contact their customer service here https://ambetter.pissedconsumer.com/review.html. I bought insurance there last year and I'm pretty satisfied.
