i have a 1937 ustyled b,can i put light on it,can i run it of the mag??or is there anther way,thank you..

The mag wont lite anything outside of a spark plug. If you want lites you will need a generator and a battery.

The lights on a small snow blower work from a permanent magnet alternator in the flywheel. Near the mag, or built in.
Another way to light your efforts is to use a 12V battery and make a place to locate it while using the tractor. Then charge it between uses. A 70 amp hour battery will keep lights going for 2 to 3 hours. JimN

There are additional separate generator windings that are spaced around the spinning flywheel. Different additional magnets from the ignition system are added onto the flywheel as well.

there are magnets in the flywheel and a core on the block and if you notice the faster the engine runs the briter the lite and also look at the speed of the flywheel.

I think, but am not positive, that your fan shaft should have a pulley to run a generator. I know for a fact that the 37 unstyled A's did and think that the B's did also. Deere offered a lighting option and a generator was run by the pulley. It would be fairly easy to make a bracket to hold a generator or alternator. You could then have all the lights you wanted.

i can put lights off just a generator?i dont need a battery?i know they had a light kit at one time for UNSTYLED A,B,G,DOES ANY ONE REPRODUCT THAT OPTION?THANK YOU..
