tractor model

No, the different Ford tractor models were all made on the same assembly lines, and each one rolling off the line got the next serial number no matter which model it was, so the serial number will not help with what model it is.

Unless you know the model, the serial number won't even help you find what year it was made, as when they switched from one series of models to the next they sometimes started over again with the serial numbers, so 3 tractors that look very similar from the "hundred" series, the "01" series and the 4 cylinder thousand series could all have the same serial number but be from a totally different series and been made in a totally different year.

Most older Ford tractors had the model number stamped near the serial number so if you can find the serial number the model number should be close by.

Post some pictures of the tractor and we can probably help at least get you in the ballpark as to a range of years and model numbers that it might be.

Edit: The earliest ones did have the model name as part of the serial number, like the serial numbers all started with 9N for the 9N and 2N models (really the same model with some slight changes over the years) and the 8N serial numbers all started with 8N, and the NAA/Jubilee model serial numbers all started with NAA, but after that no.
